Whispers in the Light
by Margo Myers
A previous interpretation of a JMW Turner painting inspired Whispers in the Light. I wanted to make it more dramatic with bolder colors. Here's a description: The sun descends in a blaze of gold and crimson, casting a shimmering path across the water. The clouds gather in sweeping, impressionistic forms that hint at familiar shapes without fully revealing them. A gentle symmetry in the sky creates the fleeting impression of a face — a moment of pareidolia that adds depth and mystery to the scene. The painting holds the viewer in that liminal space between perception and imagination. This painting is currently unframed.
